Anna Sabrina DeLeon

A native of Lubbock, Texas, Dr. Sabrina DeLeon completed her undergraduate degree in Cell and Molecular Biology with Honors at Texas Tech University. She completed her medical degree at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and her psychiatry residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).  

Dr. DeLeon has shown strong support for advocacy within the American Psychiatric Association (APA), where she serves as a Diversity Leadership Fellow and a fellow on the APA Ethics Committee. Dr. DeLeon has extensive experience in the realm of cultural psychiatry; reflected by the completion of the Diversity and Inclusion Champion and Professional Development Certificate program and the Mastery Level Certificate program. Her hard work and dedication earned her the Pillar of Excellence award issued by the UMMC Office of Diversity and Inclusion in 2023.  Dr. DeLeon has also contributed to the academic world of psychiatric knowledge with a publication in the Journal of Human Trafficking for her work in Sex Trafficking Education, as well as various poster presentations at conferences including the Mississippi Psychiatric Association Conference and APA Conference.

Clinically, Dr. DeLeon is passionate about psychotherapy, providing both high-quality individual and group therapy. She has initiated and led various therapy groups as a resident and is trained in both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies which she utilizes along with medication management.
